Oaks Electives

Our Elective Program: Learning Beyond Core

FOUNDATIONS

After a morning of core academic instruction, Foundations students (K–4th grade) enjoy a vibrant afternoon of electives designed to nurture creativity, movement, and hands-on learning.

We believe God has uniquely gifted each student, and our electives provide a space for those gifts to grow. Led by passionate, Christ-centered instructors, these classes encourage students to explore new interests, develop practical skills, and experience the joy of learning in new ways.

Electives run from 1:00–2:00 PM and 2:00–3:00 PM each Monday. Students may enroll in one or both elective periods. Offerings will vary by semester.

Electives take place after lunch and can include options such as:

  • P.E. – building coordination, teamwork, and physical confidence

  • Art – exploring creative expression through various mediums

  • Music – learning rhythm, melody, and performance confidence

  • Mad Dog Math – reinforcing math facts through games and interactive activities

HERITAGE & LEGACY

Our middle and high school students have their electives seamlessly woven into their core classes throughout their day. Our upper class students rotate through a variety of enrichment classes such as project-based learning, speech & debate, art, and Biblical studies - offering opportunities to explore both interests and gifts in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

Our electives are a meaningful way to supplement at-home learning with opportunities that are fun, engaging, and intentionally designed for a well-rounded education.
