The Oaks Approach
Our Academic Program: One Purposeful Day at School
Oaks Academy offers a powerhouse day of learning.
Oaks Academy provides a full, focused day of instruction each week for PreK - 12th grade students. As a one-day-a-week, drop-off program, our hybrid model offers structured teaching in Literature & Writing, Science, and Social Studies. Each class is led by experienced, godly teachers who are committed to academic excellence and Christ-centered instruction.
Our carefully chosen curriculum offers families both consistency and freedom - giving parents the confidence to build on classroom learning at home or rest knowing their child is being equipped academically and nurtured spiritually.
Explorers (Ages 3-5)
Planting seeds of the Gospel through play and discovery.
Our Explorers program welcomes preschool-aged children into a gentle, joyful introduction to learning. Each day invites students into rich experiences through stories, songs, sensory play, and hands-on discovery.
Explorers build early school readiness through structured play, movement, and intentional rhythms that foster attentiveness, imagination, and delight in God’s world. Students are guided in developing the habits and heart posture that prepare them to thrive in future learning.
Foundations (K–4th Grade)
Laying strong roots in truth and wonder.
Our Foundations program is where students begin building the core habits of lifelong learners: attentiveness, curiosity, and perseverance. They engage in rich, hands-on instruction in Literature & Writing, Science, and Social Studies. Each week builds a strong academic base while nurturing a love for learning and a deepening understanding of who God is.
Electives: After lunch, Foundations students have the option to participate in two electives, with options such as music, art, hands-on math, and movement-based classes. These electives are designed to deepen learning through creativity, play, and discovery, helping students connect with their interests while developing new skills, while also giving them a chance to experience a full day at school or help out a parent who has older students with a later pickup. See Electives page for more info!
Heritage (5th–8th Grade)
Learning to reason, reflect, and respond.
The Heritage program is where students begin to explore deeper ideas, develop critical thinking skills, and engage in meaningful conversations. Instruction continues in Literature & Writing, Science, and Social Studies, with an emphasis on discussion, projects, and collaborative learning.
Enrichment Classes: Heritage students rotate through a variety of Enrichment classes such as project-based learning, speech & debate, art, and Biblical studies - offering opportunities to explore both interests and gifts in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.
Legacy (9th–12th Grade)
Rooted in God’s Word. Ready for wherever God leads.
Our Legacy program equips high school students with the tools to think biblically, reason clearly, and communicate effectively. With small class sizes and discussion-based instruction, students are challenged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally. Courses in the core subjects are taught with academic rigor and a Gospel-centered focus.
Enrichment Classes: Enrichment classes provide space to pursue theology, creative writing, leadership, project-based learning, art, and entrepreneurship - helping students connect their learning to real-world purpose and God-honoring direction.
